I came to Ben as a new customer just driving by the store.  I have several very old, sentimental pieces that have been needing repair for years.  I stopped by many different jewelers looking to have my items repaired.  All of those other jewelers were terrible.  They either remarked that some of my stones were synthetic and would not even try to work on them or make a recommendation, or they were just out right snobby to me.  Ben, on the other hand, treated me with respect and so much care.  He understood my antique jewelry and the fact that many missing stones had been replaced with synthetics over a long history.  He made great recommendations and was able to have all of my pieces repaired. I couldn't imagine going anywhere else. For Christmas I went to Mayors and bought .70 carat diamond earrings set in platinum. They were nice but when we got to Cachet, I found bigger and better quality for the money. I realized quickly that going to Mayors was a total waste of time. The owner of Cachet, Ben, is extremely knowledgable and sincere. He made me feel very comfortable in an area that at the time I didn't know much about. After doing a lot of research I found that Cachet has fantastic quality at even better prices. That said I chose Cachet for the custom engagement ring for my soon to be fiancé. I have been dealing with Cachet Fine Jewelry since 1992, as a customer, and must say that I will never shop for jewelry anywhere else. The very personalized service that I experience when shopping there, is something that has been lost in today's marketplace; it never seemed to matter how much (or little) I was spending, but was always treated as if I were their most valued customer. As far as value and quality, I can honestly say that I have not been able to find any other jewelry store that can even come close. Since I have been a customer of Cachet, I have recommended them to all of my family and friends who were looking for engagement/wedding rings, and about a half dozen or more actually made the purchase from Cachet, unable to find better quality or price elsewhere. My (now) husband used Cachet Fine Jewelry for his purchase of my engagement ring and wedding band. I also purchased my husband's wedding band from Ben. Throughout the process, my husband felt that he was immensely helped by Ben in figuring out more about diamonds and ring quality. He picked a beautiful ring for me with a band that was made to fit right with the ring, and they have always been wonderful and are beautiful. We went through needed my rings re-sized, needing my engagement band reshaped (I dented the platinum from a blow to the hand), and needing appraisals re-done. Ben (and Cachet staff) did all of this for us with speed excellence, and did not charge me extra (which was wonderful for us as college students). I'm not allowed to dent my ring again though ;] haha. My husband's band is beautiful and looks great even though I could not afford the higher priced metals. We have always loved going in to see Ben at Cachet. He always makes us feel welcomed, always cleans my rings, and talks with us for a while. All of his jewelry is truly beautiful and his prices are really good/comparable to the big jewelry dealers who don't help you or care about you like Ben does.
